ANSYS on amplitUDE

Currently there are two versions of the ANSYS Multiphysics package installed on amplitUDE. User tests and subsequent discussions with the ANSYS support team have established that components of the package are incompatible with AlmaLinux 9.5 that is currently installed on the machine. As ANSYS Multiphysics consists of multiple components each with their own underlying architecture it turns out that not all of them are incompatible. Some components fail and others will work, therefore users are advised to test whether their intended calculations will work. If you do test an ANSYS component, please let us know what you found so we can extend the list below. Please send your findings to hpc-support@uni-due.de. The compatibility issues are expected to be resolved with the planned OS upgrade to AlmaLinux 9.8.
